Interesting Solution, questions about analytics.xml

Wow,

I haven't tried it yet, I'm currently only investigating the code, and it's looks nice! It will probably a good replacement for my current NuGet package: http://nuget.org/packages/MSAF.GoogleAnalytics/

Just a question about analytics.xml. It's setup similar to the setup on Android. But why not do at least a couple of things differently. Like getting the Version number and name of the App from WMAppManifest.xml ? Also maybe structuring the xml file a little bit less generic and providing an xsd to help a developer filling in the possible values.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback Mark. By the way, great work on the GA port from MSAF!

I struggled a bit deciding on the analytics.xml format but ended up making it compatible with the Android version as you noted. Definitely not how I would have structured it had I designed the schema myself. Maybe I'll add a 2nd option (xsd included).

Getting the version and app name from the manifest is a great idea. I'll definitely pursue this.

fyi: I added two feature requests to the issue tracker to track these.
Retrieve app name and version from manifest if not supplied
Create an xsd for analyics.xml
